Alana Kelly has now settled into her role as Customer Care Co-ordinator in Edinburgh, a job which she started in August last year. She is already working towards a Modern Apprenticeship in Administration that will help her develop her career with Salts Medilink.
“I had worked for three years as a supervisor in a shoe shop in the city centre and was becoming a little restless and in need of a new challenge,” said Alana, “so when I was made redundant, it was an ideal opportunity to look for a job that would stretch me a little more. I was quite keen to find an office-based job but one that still involved dealing with customers and it's great to be in a position in which I can do something that can have a really positive impact on people's lives. I'm enjoying my course as well; although I've only just finished my first module, it's nice to learn new skills and ways of working more efficiently and I'm looking forward to progressing with this in the next few months.”
